Parent Leadership in Action: Creating Stronger Communities

On Saturday, September 27, we welcomed a packed house of over 200 attendees for the 2025 SPAN Parent Leadership and Advocacy Conference. Attendees were inspired by a stirring keynote speech from disability and civil rights leader, Valerie C. Williams, and three sessions of workshops on topics including Family Engagement, Parent Leadership, Youth Engagement, Education, Health-Wellness-Mental Health, and Systems Advocacy. Nineteen workshops in total were delivered for attendees, who also enjoyed a networking breakfast and lunch, and had the opportunity to connect with more than 20 exhibitors.
