Workshops

SPAN offers workshops for parents, professionals and practitioners.  These sessions offer information and resources combined with hands-on activities so you can:  Develop new skills and apply this new knowledge in real life situations;  Increase your knowledge of your rights regarding your child’s educational or health needs;  and connect with other parents who “understand” what you are experiencing.  There are dozens of topics in education, special education, health care, mental health, youth self-advocacy and more.  Take a look - sign up for a workshop today!

Lunchtime Learning Series

Webinar Wednesdays

SPAN is launching a new series of informational webinars that will be held from 12:00 noon-1:00 pm on the first Wednesday of each month starting January 3, 2018. 

Sessions are presented live at our Newark office or you can join online. The presentation will consist of a 30-minute overview of one SPAN Fact Sheet followed by a Q & A session.  The webinars are FREE and open to everyone. Click on the link above to register for one or all of the sessions! 

 


NJSNCC Webinar Series

Customized Trainings & Workshops

 

SPAN is a non-profit agency. Each year, we provide a limited number of FREE county-based and regional workshops open to all.  We can offer customized workshops and development opportunities for schools, districts, agencies and community-based agencies on a fee-for-service basis.  For details, contact our Director of Parent and Professional Development.

 


TRANSLATION & INTERPRETATION:  We offer most workshops in Spanish, as well as English.  We can also provide workshops in other language upon request.  Sign Language interpretation can also be made available. Please let us know your translation & interpretation needs.
